Dear Brothers and Sisters in
IAUA
(ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 10th day of the 1st month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi. It is 5 days until the Spring Sabbaths begin with the first Sabbath of Unleavened Bread on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Wednesday, March 31 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Tuesday, March 30). It is 1 week and 4 days until the second Sabbath of Unleavened Bread on the evening of the 21st day of the 1st month (Tuesday, April 6 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Monday, April 5). This year, those who follow the Millerite Calendar determination will be one month later than my research has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates for God's Sacred Calendar. The dates on the Jewish Calendar are one day earlier in the spring and one day early in the fall. _____ I have seen different presentations by different ministries which place an emphasis on the biological and genealogical importance of the Children of Israel. I believe there is a discrepancy in this viewpoint. Every time I examine this discrepancy, the truth becomes clearer to me. The Word of God places a clearly different emphasis in my study. Examine the pattern in the following scriptures beginning with the everlasting covenant spoken to Abraham. Notice, the covenant begins with obedience. Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect (H8549). Strong's Hebrew Dictionary H8549 - entire (literally, figuratively or morally); also (as noun) integrity, truth: - without blemish, complete, full, perfect, sincerely (-ity), sound, without spot, undefiled, upright (-ly), whole.
Genesis 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. The sign of the covenant is circumcision which applied to everyone in his house or who travelled with him. Those who do not obey are cut off.
Genesis 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. This same pattern continued with the instructions give to Moses. Exodus 12:19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. God accepts the obedient stranger as one of His children and cuts off His children which are not obedient.
Exodus 12:48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. There is one law and the stranger who follows the law is the same as one born in the land.
Leviticus 15:14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do.
Leviticus 15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through
ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them. Over and over the same concept is repeated.
Leviticus 17:8 And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice, There are many more examples of this concept in the Torah, the Original (Old) and the Renewed (New) Testament. I used only examples directly from the Torah to avoid any complicating issues. You may disagree with my understanding of these Scriptures. I hope we can agree to disagree and continue the sharing of the common faith we hold so dear. The only evidence I have found of any distinction exclusive to a native born Israelite is: Deuteronomy 17:15 Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. This is similar to the rule in the US Constitution. The ruler of the people must be native born. If you can provide evidence from the Bible of the exclusive relationship of a native born Israelite to God, I will gladly review it. The children of Israel were chosen to serve the purposes of God but strangers who chose to be obedient were never excluded. "Strangers" are even a part of the genealogical heritage of our Saviour. Ruth 1:16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Matthew 1:5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; Do you believe we are all equally God's children? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
