Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 26th day of the 5th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi.

The yearly Fall Sabbaths begin in 4 weeks and 6 days starting with Trumpets Sabbath the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Thursday, September 29th on the 2011 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Wednesday, September 28th).

An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with what my research, and many others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar!

I have been quite busy with some new developments on my web sites and starting two new books. The seventh book is going to be a monster and possibly never-ending project.

A newsletter reader writes:

Some has changed since our last visit. After my complete recovery from the non-survivable stage 4 pancreatic cancer, I returned to our regular Messianic Orthodox Jewish worship services where I was appointed the older Elder of the synagogue. There we (my wife and I) remain. The prayers each week-end occupy about 3 hours of our time - prayers, most of them, based on compilations of scripture. Then we have about 1 1/2 hours of Torah study with reading from the Torah and followed by about 1- 1/2 hours of further study on the Torah portion for that week. All in all, we have about another 2-5 hours of Concentrated Bible study each week.

The Rabbi, is a 40 something year old man with a near photographic memory. He has a grasp of Scripture like no one I've ever met including my 18 years, or so, of SDA education. It is a great experience to sit at his feet. It is somewhat akin to attempting to drink from a fire hose.

I am not always that thrilled about his attempting to bring us into as close a compliance with Orthodox Judaism. However, he has a lot of contact with Rabbis of the so called orthodox variety of worship. He is interested in having services and a halacah (walk) that would make them comfortable when they come to visit. Several have confessed to secretly believing in our Messiah. This is a good thing. But following the laws of men and tradition rather than sticking to the instructions from the Creator/Messiah leaves us in a quandary at times.

I always enjoy seeing what you have to offer and the kindness and peace promoting way in which you approach problems and questions. I am too much inclined to sound, though not meaning to, dogmatic - - even in raising questions meant to stimulate dialog.

For the above, I apologize. It is the way I approach life in general. It is the way in which I question science and self proclaimed scientists, the way I approach the medical profession (it helped save my life). It's the way I approach the solving of problems. Asking (and answering) the hard questions is not always a pleasant way to go - but I see changes - even at Bible Explorations, that tell me that these questions are raised. But most likely not in the same way I raise them. I see progress being made toward adopting God's original plans for our ways of life - though we fail miserably.

Must go to the shop to get some real work done. I do spend many hours per week discussing health and spiritual matters with those who inquire. It must be what God has in mind for me as I am confronted with many inquiries on a regular basis. Even my non-health oriented customers know from whence my help comes. And many seem to admire me for it. I guess it pays to not be bashful at all times. SMILE

BTW. I have about abandoned Facebook and do not like these networks. Too much time is wasted for my tastes. But I had so many requests to join that I caved in. So - you got an invite from me when I saw your name as a prospective contact.

The Fall feasts are not far away and we eagerly await the ensuing blessings that always come with them. Your too?

My response:

It is good to hear from you. I never touch Facebook or other such social networking sites. I participate in LinkedIn because it is a more "professional" site with mostly serious discussion and interaction. I still avoid getting overly involved with it but it is a good way to keep in touch with other like-minded professionals. I spend only about an hour a week or less on it.

It may surprise you to know I received a certain amount of beneficial interaction from our past conversations and discussions. I have no problem with hard questions and deep discussions up to a certain point. I love the exchange of ideas where we can learn from each other. You have seen some of my interactions with other people in the newsletter. There are many others and some less congenial.

One problem I have is when various people seem to think they need to preach to me and convince me of their viewpoint. Some also want to talk but not listen. There always needs to be a two-way exchange. It is also important to know when it is time to let a subject go and give it a rest for meditation and time to absorb the influence of the Holy Spirit.

Your mention of a fire hose reminded me of some of our discussions where the interaction was too voluminous to be comfortable as well as dogmatic as you acknowledged. A little bit of dogmatism is not a problem but a fire hose is disconcerting. I struggle with being a bit dogmatic myself and must constantly remind myself of the gentleness of the Saviour's example. I am well aware, as you are, there were times when the attacks of the Pharisees were met by very strong responses.

I would love to exchange more ideas with you and we can work to keep it congenial and productive, as opposed to dogmatic and overwhelming, but never superficial and fluffy.

You may be interested in a new project in progress. I have been studying some Hebrew but I am not interested in being immersed in it. I am beginning to do some serious sharing with others of what I have been doing. You may be interested in what I am developing at the web site www.WordIAUA.info and some of the other things I have been doing.

I am looking forward to the Fall Sabbaths and I hope they will be the beginning of a major awakening as God has promised.

The dictionary describes dogmatic: asserting convictions in a doctrinaire or arrogant manner; opinionated.

There is a time to speak and a time to listen. A time to speak out and a time to speak softly.

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
We must speak out against error but with a loving concern for spiritual growth and without assuming we know it all.
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:14-15
Speak the truth! It is important.
1 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Psalms 15:1-3

Are you finding and sharing the truth?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
