Dear Brothers and Sisters in
IAUA
(ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 1st day of the 8th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6015 Anno Mundi. It is 23 weeks and 1 day until the new year begins with the Spring Sabbaths. Unleavened Bread Sabbath begins the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Sabbath, April 7th on the 2012 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 6th). An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with what my research, and many others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar! _____ One of the questions often heard is: "Did Ellen White Keep the Feasts?". I had assumed the answer was "No.", because she did not explicitly speak of it. Or so I thought. Then I was shown this quote for a different reason but after some careful thought I was shocked. Experiences from April 26, 1867 to October 20, 1867Any deep student of the Bible knows what it means to observe the fast. Even the New Testament records what it means to be aware of the Day of Atonement. 9 Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,After careful thought, I realized her words were written in earnestness and she was not ignorant of the meaning of what she wrote. The conclusion seems inescapable for those willing to see the truth. Ellen White and James White observed the Day of Atonement at least once. After more careful thought, I concluded it was reasonable to assume she kept more than just one. Based on her close guidance by God, having once seen the value of observing the fast, she would do it annually as the Bible commands. After even more careful and astonished thought, I concluded it was reasonable, for the same reasons, to assume she kept more than just the Day of Atonement. Some may be ready to stone me. I already discussed the reasons why she did not speak more openly in the 2011-08-05 Perplexity newsletter. Based on this revelation I see even more meaning in the many comments she made in favor of the "feasts" and dwelling on the subject. She recognized the Feast of Tabernacles points to the Second Coming. The Feast of Tabernacles was not only commemorative but typical. It not only pointed back to the wilderness sojourn, but, as the feast of harvest, it celebrated the ingathering of the fruits of the earth, and pointed forward to the great day of final ingathering, when the Lord of the harvest shall send forth His reapers to gather the tares together in bundles for the fire, and to gather the wheat into His garner. At that time the wicked will all be destroyed. They will become "as though they had not been." Obadiah 16. And every voice in the whole universe will unite in joyful praise to God. Says the revelator, "Every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever." Revelation 5:13. {PP 541.2}She speaks highly of the feasts and then says it is for our instruction. It is impossible to enumerate the advantages the Lord prepared for the world in making the Jewish nation the repository of His rich treasures of knowledge. They were the subjects of His special favor. As a people who knew and worshiped the true God, they were to communicate the principles of His kingdom. They were instructed by the Lord. He withheld from them nothing favorable to the formation of characters which would make them fit representatives of His kingdom. Their feasts, the Passover, the Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles, and the ceremonies attending these gatherings, were to proclaim the truths that God had entrusted to His people. At these gatherings the people were to show gladness and joy, expressing their thanksgiving for their privileges and the gracious treatment of their Lord. Thus they were to show to a world that knew not God that the Lord does not forsake those who trust in Him. With joyful voices they were to sing, "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God" (Ps. 43:5). . . . {UL 232.3}She clearly calls for a "Feast of Tabernacles" camp-meetings. The forces of the enemies are strengthening, and as a people we are misrepresented; but shall we not gather our forces together, and come up to the feast of tabernacles? Let us not treat this matter as one of little importance, but let the army of the Lord be on the ground to represent the work and cause of God in Australia. Let no one plead an excuse at such a time. One of the reasons why we have appointed the camp-meeting to be held at Melbourne, is that we desire the people of that vicinity to become acquainted with our doctrines and works. We want them to know what we are, and what we believe. Let every one pray, and make God his trust. Those who are barricaded with prejudice must hear the warning message for this time. We must find our way to the hearts of the people. Therefore come to the camp-meeting, even though you have to make a sacrifice to do so, and the Lord will bless your efforts to honour his cause and advance his work. {BEcho, December 8, 1893 par. 5}She equates the feast with our camp-meetings. July 10, 1879 Our Camp-Meetings.She promotes having a "Feast of Tabernacles". Well would it be for us to have a feast of tabernacles, a joyous commemoration of the blessings of God to us as a people. As the children of Israel celebrated the deliverance that God wrought for their fathers, and his miraculous preservation of them during their journeyings from Egypt to the promised land, so should the people of God at the present time gratefully call to mind the various ways he has devised to bring them out from the world, out from the darkness of error, into the precious light of truth. We should often bring to remembrance the dependence upon God of those who first led out in this work. We should gratefully regard the old way-marks, and refresh our souls with memories of the loving-kindness of our gracious Benefactor. {RH, November 17, 1885 par. 14}She even calls a camp meeting the "Feast of Tabernacles". We see that the forces of the enemy are strengthening, and that the ministers in every place are making earnest efforts to oppose the truth, and more so in Wellington than any place I ever visited. Everything is said to present Seventh-day Adventists as only a few in number, and inferior in every respect, possessing little influence. And shall we not on this occasion represent the believing rank and file the very best that we possibly can? Will our brethren not come up to the feast of tabernacles? How zealously should everyone guard the way that leads to the city of God! If we treat the work as an indifferent matter, and the army of the Lord is not on the ground to represent the cause and work in New Zealand, God will not be pleased with your neglect. Will you plead excuses, and at such a time? {11MR 9.1} This is not overwhelming or even conclusive evidence but I think a clear circumstantial case can be made to conclude Ellen White and James White were feast keepers. This was not clearly presented to the church because the church was not ready and would not accept the truth. They are still not ready and still will not accept the truth. Are you open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
