Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 5th day of the 10th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6015 Anno Mundi.

It is 14 weeks and 1 day until the new year begins with the Spring yearly Sabbaths. The first Unleavened Bread yearly Sabbath begins as always the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Sabbath, April 7th on the 2012 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 6th). This year the day of the week will be the same as it was in the year IAUShUO was crucified on Golgotha.

An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with the dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar!

A newsletter reader shares some comments about the Sabbath School lesson in general which applies specifically to this quarter's lessons on the book of Galatians.

They said:

The Seventh-day Adventist Sabbath school quarterly is generally chalk full of shoddy scholarship and does a very good job of biasing the minds of it's readers against the statutes of Moses. For this reason it is absolutely imperative for all Seventh-day Adventists to read the following paragraph written by Samuele Bacchiocchi, Ph. D., Andrews University.

Below paragraph taken from The Sabbath Under Crossfire: A Biblical Analysis of Recent Sabbath/Sunday Developments http://www.biblicalperspectives.com/books/sabbath_under_xfire/5.htm

Chapter 5
PAUL AND THE LAW

...........
"By way of conclusion, I propose that the resolution to the apparent contradiction between Paul's negative and positive statements about the Law is found in their different contexts. When he speaks of the Law in the context of salvation (justification-right standing before God), he clearly affirms that Law-keeping is of no avail (Rom 3:20). On the other hand, when Paul speaks of the Law in the context of Christian conduct (sanctification-right living before God), he upholds the value and validity of God's Law (Rom 7:12; 13:8-10; 1 Cor 7:19)."

An earlier version of the email said:

It is my personal observation that the Seventh-day Adventist Sabbath school quarterly is generally chalk full of shoddy scholarship and does a very good job of confusing the minds of those who are too lazy to study the Scripture for what it says rather than what they want it to say.

_____

I would hesitate to classify the quarterly as "shoddy scholarship". I believe these are well meaning people who do a reasonable job but are hampered in their understanding or presentation by Adventist tradition. In particular, this quarter's lesson seemed to have some small signs of some more advanced and accurate thought on the subject. It is however true, there is an inevitable bias against the Law of God or specifically the part called by God himself "The Law of Moses".

I would also hesitate to classify those who are confused by the denominational teachings as "lazy". It is so very easy to just accept what is taught by the denomination or the pastor or a charismatic ministry leader, without serious investigation to be certain of the truth.

The paragraph by Bacchiocchi is a very good summary of the resolution of the confusion for those who will accept it and verify it by careful study.

We need to focus on the idea Satan is our primary adversary and not each other. There are also those who criticize Bacchiocchi as a Jesuit infiltrator into the Adventist denomination. I have heard this even from those who believe in the Law of Moses. They do not realize they are repeating slander from those who are against Bacchiocchi because he was leaning very heavily toward belief in the Law of Moses and specifically the feasts.

I am reminded of the words of our Saviour, which give us valuable guidance on this topic.

49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
Luke 9:49-50
Further detailed guidance is given in this incident.
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:24-37

What comes out of the abundance of your heart? Are you justified by your words or condemned?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
