Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 12th day of the 10th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6015 Anno Mundi.

It is 13 weeks and 1 day until the new year begins with the Spring yearly Sabbaths. The first Unleavened Bread yearly Sabbath begins as always the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Sabbath, April 7th on the 2012 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 6th). This year the day of the week will be the same as it was in the year IAUShUO was crucified on Golgotha.

An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with the dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar!

Another lively discussion in the group Adventists Linked on www.LinkedIn.com began discussing unclean meat but made a turn to the importance of Bible study to resolve questions of confusion.

LinkedIn is a professional social networking group which contains many active Seventh-day Adventists and groups specifically for SDA. These groups contain many valuable and active discussions. I encourage you to join the discussion and make contact with your fellow Adventists. It is much more serious and profitable than Facebook. I confess, I am making this statement based on hearsay. I have heard so much bad about Facebook, I won't even go there.

Calleen Bonilla • Thank you Dave, David and Frank! The explanations and evidence of your studies are such a blessing to me. I have been an SDA for almost 30 yrs of my life, went to academy etc. and have never found clarity and understanding in the issue of meat. I always got the response "Cause Ellen White said so" or " because it's not good for you" . but never a logical and biblical understanding. I believe God want us to be thinkers and fully understand his word and not follow just the traditions of man. Please don't get me wrong I now fully enjoy and absorb EGW writings I just needed a better understanding. It is good to get off the milk and eat the "meat" LOL! Thank you all for your insight and explanations. This truly has been a blessing to me. God Bless you all and Happy Sabbath

Frank T. Clark • Calleen: I sympathize with your implied disappointment with the lack in finding clarity and understanding in your earlier training. I am a lifetime, fifth-generation SDA and I was shocked when I discovered at 50 years of age that years of church school, sermons, SS classes, including University Bible classes never showed me the depths of the truth. Only your own study by the guidance of the Holy Spirit can lead you to the depths of the truth. You can seek out guidance from those who do not limit themselves to Adventist tradition but be sure to study deeply and develop your own understanding of the truth. There is only one truth but we all must understand for ourselves and never blindly accept what others say. I share my own journey and search at my website: http://www.iaua.name

Dave Clark • You're absolutely correct, Calleen. What we believe in must not be based only upon what we hear from some pulpit or upon only what Ellen G. White says. She said that she was the lesser light to lead to that Greater Light -- the Bible. She also said that if we had just paid attention to what was actually written in the Bible, then she would never have been needed.

So, like the noble Bereans, we must turn to the Bible for the correct understanding of what is Truth (Acts 17:1-12). Like you, I believe Ellen G. White was inspired by God the Holy Spirit. But, we don't want to be guilty of following any man or woman other than the Man, Jesus Christ. This is why we are supposed to be Christians -- because we are supposed to be following Jesus Christ, alone.

We must also be yearning for more than just the milk of the Word. The milk is absolutely necessary (1Peter 2:1-3). It is required for the new babe in Christ to be able to grow strong (1Cor. 3:1,2). But, pablum can only go so far. If the growing Christian does not graduate beyond the milk and soft foods, then the growth will stop (Heb. 5:8-14) and the Christian is in danger of being cast away (1Cor. 9:24-27).

God bless.

Frank T. Clark • Thank you Dave for the additional comment emphasizing Bible study. Reviewing my comment I sense I did not emphasize quite enough that our primary source of study is the Bible. Maybe I would say it should be our secondary source also... :-) All other sources are way down the list.

EGW might be classed as a third source above many others because of the depth of her inspiration from God. However, she often said there was additional light to come which she did not have.

Continuing a brief analysis of a relative value of sources, I would suggest the SDA denomination would be considered a fourth source above many others for at least two reasons. One is the value of a group consensus. This does NOT make the denomination infallible but provides a limited safety against error. This is Biblically supported by the commands for "sacred assembly". EGW also spoke of the value of the combined wisdom of the church in assembly. The second reason is the clear guidance of the denomination by God including the work of EGW.

The fifth source would be independent ministries which demonstrate a strong dedication to Bible study and Bible based teachings. All sources must be verified against the Bible by our own diligent study. Sometimes error and confusion can slip into the teachings of the denomination. EGW spoke about this also. She also warned, as does the Bible, of excessive dependence on man.

The Bible promises there will be another prophet with a special message. This is something only the truly deep student of the Bible recognizes which the denomination does not recognize. EGW also spoke of surprising sources of truth. I can provide Biblical and EGW references to support all these statements for those who do not already recognize them but it would turn this into a long and deep Bible study instead of a simple discussion to get you thinking and studying.

Study the Word! Pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit!

John 16:13 When the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all truth! ... He will show you things to come.

_____

Are you deeply studying the Word for truth?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
