Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 30th day of the 4th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6016 Anno Mundi. The fall holy day season begins with Trumpets Sabbath in 8 weeks and three days starting the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Monday, September 17th on the 2012, Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Sunday, September 16th). An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) and the Jewish Calendar agree with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar!

The Bible clearly states the power of the Fourth Angel's Message: 1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.and Ellen White confirms it. Mario Petrovalle • Todd, thank you for sharing. This is something the entire group should be aware of. You did not mention that this is presented on three audio files. I like the 1893 GC Bulletin and the sermon by A.T. Jones (sermon 9) - - What did they reject in 1888 GC Session. It was the Loud Cry and the Latter Rain. Frank T. Clark • I noticed an interesting problem while listening to the audio files. First let me comment that there are at least two distinctly different ways of absorbing information. Reading and listening. There is a time and place for each. Some people like me find listening a very awkward way to absorb information. I find presentations where I can read much more effective and it is a more "dense" way of obtaining a lot of information quickly. This collection exhibits a problem I have observed many times. There is a big difference in talking about a message and the message itself. The limitation of this collection as I have observed in most 1888 collections is a shortcoming in identifying the message. It goes by code words such as "Righteousness by Faith" or the more pointed "Righteousness of Christ". These presentations are very clear on the importance of the message but they do not clearly help us to understand what the message is. It has been over a hundred years and the message has been almost lost under code words and the discussion is now only about the importance of the message and I believe we have lost touch with what the message was. Another article which addresses the root of the 1888 message. dedication.www3.50megs.com/1888/waggonerbutler_twolaws3.html The confusion seems to originate from the idea that if we uphold righteousness by faith we slip into dismissing the law. This is the charge often brought against Paul. The truth is there are two sides to the message. We uphold righteousness by faith as a two step process. We move forward by faith in the footsteps of our Saviour and follow God's Law of Love as a discipline to sanctify us. As Paul says we work out part of our salvation by obedience. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. As our Saviour says: 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. The misunderstood, overlooked, and often forgotten part of the 1888 message is that the Ten Commandments is not all of God's Law. We call ourselves commandment-keeping people, but we do not comprehend the exceeding breadth of the far-reaching principles of the law of God; we do not understand its sacred character. Many who claim to be teachers of the truth, have no real conception of what they are doing in teaching the law of God, because they do not have a living knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. {RH, June 3, 1890 par. 3} A "living knowledge" comes in part by living the life our Saviour did in obedience to all of His law, which includes the part called the Law of Moses. 4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Frank T. Clark • I am in the process of formulating a comparison in my mind. If I go into any depth, it will be more than I feel is appropriate in a comment. I will probably write a newsletter about this and I am working on a summary for this discussion. This is a very deep and important subject... I would also love to hear comments from others. Frank T. Clark • The presentation of the audio files is very clear and repetitive about the importance of the events in 1888 and how the message could have been the beginning of the Loud Cry. It is also clear that the church officials rejected the message out of pride because it was contrary to their preconceived ideas. The content of the message itself is only identified by the brief code words "Righteousness by Faith". This quote starts a deeper understanding. The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones. This messages was to bring more prominently before the world the uplifted Saviour, the sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. It presented justification through faith in the Surety; it invited the people to receive the righteousness of Christ, which is made manifest in obedience to all the commandments of God... {1888 1336.2} {14MR 128.2} {Ev 190.4} {LDE 200.1} {TM 91.2} {PH154 35.2} Righteousness and Justification by Faith lead to "the righteousness of Christ, which is made manifest in obedience to all the commandments of God." Notice the key words "obedience" and "all". There are two interpretations of Righteousness by Faith which were a matter of concern. Those who fall into the error of faith releases us from obedience. This was used as the straw man against the message. The other interpretation involved the definition of "commandments" as shown by the other code words from 1888. The "added law", "two laws", and "the law in Galatians". This is the subject of the other documents. Butler, Smith, and others shied away from any expansion of "commandments" because they rejected any deeper application of the Law of Moses as God's Law. Does this comparison help? 3 days ago
