Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 10th day of the 8th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6016 Anno Mundi.

The fall holy day season has passed. The New Year and the Spring Holy Day season begin with the first Sabbath of Unleavened Bread in 21 weeks and 5 days starting the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Wednesday, March 27th on the 2013, Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Tuesday, March 26th).

I begin the month on the day after lunar conjunction and the year with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) will be observing the Spring Holy Days a month later and the Jewish Calculated Rabbinical Calendar begins a day early in spring.

Last night I was deeply troubled and was praying intensely. This is a recollection of some of the prayer.

Alleluia! Praise IAUA, our Father in heaven, praise your Holy Name. May Your Kingdom come soon and Your Will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. Father, please direct my choices and actions to be in accordance with your plan for my life. I don't ask to know even a part of your plan for I am human and weak. My request is broad and general because I don't want to limit Your guidance to any single part of my life. I want everything to be under Your direction and guidance, leaving nothing reserved.

I know that You have no interest in controlling me or every detail of my life. Your will is for us to make our own choices guided by Your Word and the Holy Spirit. This is my desire, to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I want to be guided and I want to submit to Your guidance. You have led in the past so I will continue on the path I am following, always seeking to be guided should I ever stray or need a new direction.

As my meditations continued, I remembered an intense conversation a few weeks ago. A person told me "I want to support your ministry" in the midst of a suggestion that I needed to modify my presentation style. They saw the value of what I was saying but recommended that I needed to drop references to the apostasy, misleading teachings, and errors of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. They labeled this as "criticism" of the church.

I considered this very carefully, because I have seen many presentations which were flawed by a spirit of criticism. I feel a lot of respect for this person's opinion and I gave it very careful consideration. My initial conclusion, which I continue to consider carefully, is that the recommendations were based on the idea of providing a smooth presentation to persuade people to my ideas. I was reminded of the words of Paul.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
II Timothy 4:3

People like to hear smooth and pleasing things.

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
II Thessalonians 2:10-12
Laodicea does not like to be confronted with her shortcomings.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Revelation 3:17
It is partly intentional that I say some mildly critical things about the Laodicean church because it is necessary to shake people out of their complacency and open their eyes to start looking and thinking for themselves. There is also another reason. I am not trying to get people to follow me and in fact, I deliberately make my presentation less than smooth or appealing because I don't want to lead them to follow me.

This is why I almost said "I don't want you to support my ministry!" I tell people regularly in my books and this newsletter that my purpose is to lead you to study the Bible. Do not look to me or follow me or my ministry. Follow the Word!

Now, I could say "Follow my lead, as I point you to the Word." You can support this purpose in my ministry. The focus is on the purpose of the ministry, not on the ministry itself and certainly not on me. Please do not take what I say as truth but test it against the Bible.

Quoting from the preface of my first book:

It is not my intent to try to convince you of these truths. It is my desire to point you to the Bible and truth, which is often overlooked. You will need to investigate and verify these truths for yourself.

Another quote:

It is my purpose to point you to truth in the Bible, which is often overlooked. It is my intent and expectation you will study the Bible about this for yourself. It is my prayer the Holy Spirit will guide you.
13 When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come.
John 16:13 (FTCABE)

I have seen many times how a focus on a person, ministry, or institution can slowly corrupt the original purpose of the person, ministry, or institution. Satan delights to lead our purpose astray by shifting the focus away from God and His purpose. God can still work through a person, ministry, or institution when the focus is misdirected but the message loses its clarity and Satan exults at corrupting God's will.

In the end, God's will prevails but we lose the opportunity to have supported God's work with clear focus. Quoting from the Original Testament:

5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deuteronomy 6:5
Quoted by our Saviour in the Renewed Testament:
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:37

Are you seeking God's will in your life and your actions?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
