Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 29th day of the 2nd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi.

Pentecost Sabbath is in 6 days on the evening of the 6th day of the 3rd month (Thursday, May 16th on the 2013, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Wednesday, May 5th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) will be observing the Spring Holy Days a month later this year. The Jewish Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is a day early in spring and two days early in the fall this year.

Lunar conjunction this month was marked, in its periodically spectacular way, with a solar eclipse yesterday. The eclipse was visible in the area of Australia. Since the world day had already begun, the first day of the month is tomorrow.

This ministry is primarily focused on presenting new light from the Bible to those in the community of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. This is the community where I was raised and it is the community in which I live and work. I believe it is the primary community God has called me to reach with 21st Century Present Truth. However, I do not practice or believe in exclusivity. Therefore, my work is inclusive to all those seeking to follow the Godhead and Their Word.

The Godhead directs us concerning the importance of working together and meeting together in a community of worship. We are particularly directed to meet on the Holy Days at the appointed times.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
Leviticus 23:1-2

The previous command of the Godhead is never quoted by the Seventh-day Adventist denomination because they do not want to be anywhere near the hated, so-called, "Jewish" feasts. This is prejudice in its most insidious form. Instead, they will refer to highly appropriate counsel from Paul, which is more general, where they feel safer.

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:25

I have observed within the Seventh-day Adventist denomination and other religious organizations a dangerous tendency to see themselves as somehow superior to others and the exclusive repository of truth. Those who seek to grow in understanding and truth are often seen as a threat. Unfortunately, those who believe they have grown in some way beyond the group have a dangerous tendency to see themselves as somehow superior to others and also the exclusive repository of truth.

It is difficult to grow in understanding and truth without losing a sense of perspective. True understanding recognizes the value of each person at their level of understanding. Those who have truly grown will not undermine the worth of others struggling in their growth. Those who have truly grown should be highly aware of the dangers of certainty and complacency.

There are also great dangers in any group, of non-Biblical traditions becoming deeply entrenched as part of the exclusivity of the group. I have been engaging in discussions of truth on a Messianic forum (http://theloveofgod.proboards.com). Often I read disagreements about Jewish tradition. One comment I made:

It is sad to see so much disagreement and confusion. We can console ourselves to know that Satan is behind this and pokes us at all our sensitive, weak, and vulnerable spots.

Tradition is a sensitive spot for me also but I hope and pray God grants me an understanding heart. I think we can agree that tradition which does not contradict or detract from the Word of God (or Torah if you prefer) is not wrong. I think we can agree it is always important for us to "gently" promote the practice of what God commands. I think we can agree it is appropriate to practice the traditions of a community when we choose to participate in that community.

The difficulty for me comes when the tradition of a religious community is promoted to the level where it sounds like an expectation and requirement of God when it is not. Then I must choose to leave that community.

When I hear "... says" more often than I hear "the Word of God says" I become very uncomfortable.

When my study and growth led me to embrace the Law of Moses in a denomination where it is rejected, I felt a need for a community of believers where we shared a fuller set of common values. The Jewish and Messianic communities had a bit of attraction at first. I quickly recognized a disconnect with the Jewish community, which rejects the Messiah and the New Testament. The Messianic community seemed attractive at first.

The traditions and practices of exclusivity in the Jewish community are heavily present in the Messianic community. Many are also Jewish or "wannabes" and often demonstrate a great deal of superiority in their practice of Jewish traditions and rituals. It is true these traditions and rituals are not of themselves wrong. The emphasis which has a tendency to elevate these traditions and rituals above the importance of following God's Word is very dangerous.

Amazingly, I often read doubts and surmisings about whether the books of the Bible are all valid or the correct ones have been chosen. I made this comment:

I sense the potential that some doubt is being cast on the validity of the Bible (in any form) as the Word of God.

When I am confronted by this, I remind people who believe in God of certain facts.

Those who don't believe in God are a very different story.

When you believe in God, His Omnipotence, and His Omniscience, it is clear that He has the ability to communicate Himself to us and preserve His Word sufficient to guide us. Is any particular manuscript, translation, ... perfect? No, but it is more than sufficient to guide us. Otherwise, you are doubting the power of God.

In particular, the guidance of the Omnipresent Holy Spirit teaches each of us directly. Our Saviour has promised and His Word cannot be doubted by those who believe.

When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come. John 16:13 (FTCABE)

I find that verse very comforting... "ALL TRUTH". What a comforting concept when confronted by all the disagreement, confusion, and dispute. We don't need to worry. He has promised.

Don't even get me started on those who believe or practice exclusivity but don't even participate in community by attending church.

Do you practice exclusivity or do you embrace all of God's children?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
