The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 26th day of the 4th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi.

The fall Holy Day season begins with Trumpets Sabbath in 9 weeks and 1 day on the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Sabbath, September 7th on the 2013, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Friday, September 6th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is two days early in the fall this year.

Another interesting discussion on LinkedIn dealing with confusion about the Sabbath near the International Date Line.

The issue is actually a couple of years old. The basics of the dilemma are described in this partial quote from one of the sources mentioned later.

"So, what has actually happened in Samoa, anyway? Following Thursday, December 29, 2011, the independent state of Samoa skipped Friday the 30th and moved directly into Saturday, December 31. The result is that, in this location, what would have been called Saturday, had the change not been enacted, will now be called Sunday. The Samoan government has cited a number of economic and logistical reasons for making the change, but it seems to have thrown the local Sabbath keepers into confusion."

The LinkedIn item references a Sabbath-keeper website which brought up the subject when it actually happened.

That website referenced an official public news website:

The official public news website referenced another Sabbath-keeper website:

Most of the comments did not address the principles of the problem in a serious fashion. My initial comment on LinkedIn introduced the idea of using principles.

Frank T. Clark • This is a difficult dilemma but the solution is not that difficult to understand after careful study to determine a solution. It is true that each person must live according to their conscience. However, it is also true that God is not caught off guard by this situation. There are Biblical principles to guide us.

Curtis Prevo • @Frank: To what principles are you referring? I'm sure God is not caught off-guard, but humans certainly are. What is your proposed solution?

Frank T. Clark • God has in His infinite wisdom a plan for all circumstances. He is not unprepared for a round earth because He created it. We can discern God's plan by a careful study of the Bible.

The first principal of the highest priority is that we follow the Bible and God's Law. God does not change and His Law does not change. Example reference Malachi 3:6.

The next principle is that practices change according to God's direction. Example reference Acts 15.

God's Holy Sabbath day is very explicit. Example reference Leviticus 23:3.

I am going to ignore the ignorant arguments that we don't know what day of the week is the seventh day. There is a frame of reference for the Sabbath day. Example reference Isaiah 2:3.

The international Date Line is a reasonable approximation of God's plan. It is ignorant to compare changes anywhere else to what happens near the IDL. God is very clear on the importance of community and unity. People lose and gain days all the time when they travel near the IDL. You adapt to the local time where you are.

In this unique case a community has changed the focus of its association from those to the east to those to the west and adapted to their time frame. Though it is unusual, this is reasonable and appropriate. The fact that it changes the day of the week is also unusual but it is not relevant. It is the same as if the whole community has "travelled" to a new location.

Need I remind you of Biblical guidance to obey government rules as long as they do not contradict God's Law? I hope this explanation makes it clear there is no contradiction in this change. I wrote a newsletter about these issues years ago:

I have also written a book on the subject of God's Calendar, which deals with these and other issues:

People are only caught off guard when they have not carefully studied and followed God's Word.

Does following the Bible solve your dilemmas or create them?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
