Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 2nd day of the 6th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi.

The fall Holy Day season begins with Trumpets Sabbath in 4 weeks and 1 day on the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Sabbath, September 7th on the 2013, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Friday, September 6th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is two days early in the fall this year.

I often receive email which includes sensationalist headlines such as "Pope Francis says EGW a witch!" There are "evangelists" and even pastors who capitalize on sensationalism with "new" revelations on Satan's work of deception instead of pursuing and promoting God's Truth. The Internet is full of sensationalist websites and videos.

These all sound like conspiracy theory nonsense and usually the subject is not worthy of attention, discussion, or study. Please understand, I am not criticizing anyone in particular. Any of us can be misdirected into this nonsense at one time or another. I have been attracted to sensationalist ideas on occasion. I understand there are a lot of questions and confusion.

Some responses from the denomination.

These words of warning from the Bible are highly appropriate.

Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

I have studied this type of material before. This type of material is designed to stir up a sick interest but is usually based on hearsay, not fact. Even if it were true, it is not worth our time and attention because it does not focus us on God, the Bible, or help in our preparation for end time events.

"Everything you hear on the Internet is true." NOT! Everything you hear from the pulpit is true and valuable. NOT! Satan has a new(?) trap for the modern days. Mix a little truth with a lot of nonsense. Use misleading and misdirecting information to draw our attention away from what is important.

Some related comments from a wise woman.

"The leadings of the Lord were marked, and most wonderful were His revelations of what is truth. Point after point was established by the Lord God of heaven. That which was truth then, is truth today. But the voices do not cease to be heard--"This is truth. I have new light." But these new lights in prophetic lines are manifest in misapplying the Word and setting the people of God adrift without an anchor to hold them. If the student of the Word would take the truths which God has revealed in the leadings of His people, and appropriate these truths, digest them, and bring them into their practical life, they would then be living channels of light. But those who have set themselves to study out new theories, have a mixture of truth and error combined, and after trying to make these things prominent, have demonstrated that they have not kindled their taper from the divine altar, and it has gone out in darkness."--Manuscript 31, 1896. {2SM 104.1} {17MR 4.3}

Those who have focused intense, sober effort on searching the scriptures know that there is much more from the Bible that we should be spreading.

"We must not for a moment think that there is no more light, no more truth to be given us. We are in danger of becoming careless, by our indifference losing the sanctifying power of truth, and composing ourselves with the thought, "I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing." [REV. 3:17.] While we must hold fast to the truths which we have already received, we must not look with suspicion upon any new light that God may send." {GW92 390.1} {RH, August 7, 1894 par. 1} {GW 310.4} {CW 33.1} Ellen G. White, Gospel Workers (1892), page 390, paragraph 1

Are you distracted from a pursuit of truth by sensationalism and Satan's misdirections?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
