Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 4th day of the 9th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Holy Day season begins the New Year in five months with Passover on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Tuesday, April 15th on the 2014, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Monday, April 14th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is the same in the spring this year.

I have heard a dangerous and poisonous thought, which concerns me. The flippant expression of this thought is the cliche "God is my co-pilot" with the "co" crossed out.

I have heard preachers and evangelists give the example that when we drive ourselves through life we get into crashes. They expound on the idea that we must turn our lives over to Jesus and let Him drive.

As with many populist ideas, there is an element of truth and there is an element of dangerous error. You do not find anywhere in the Bible the idea that we should expect God to control us in a literal sense. God did not make us to be robots under His control. God gave us freedom of choice and our Saviour died to preserve that freedom and redeem us from the penalty of sin when we follow His guidance.

The idea we should step back and let God drive is a surrendering of our responsibility to be an active agent in the process of sanctification.

Philippians 2:12-13
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

God does not want to control us and He certainly does not want us to turn control over to Satan. Satan would love to control us and lead us astray from following God's guidance. The whole idea of emptying your mind of all thought, which is taught by eastern meditation and spiritual formation schools of thought, leads to making us available to the influence of Satan.

Matthew 12:43-45
43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Proper meditation is filling the mind with the Word of God and thinking on eternal themes as taught by the Word of God. When we seek His will and submit in humble acceptance, the Holy Spirit comes to lead our thoughts to greater truth.

John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come.

It is important to remember that we must seek God's will and His righteousness. Beware of seeking to prove what you want to believe. Look for His truth.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.

When we submit to God's guidance He will certainly give it to us.

Matthew 7:7 Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.

We must remain the active agent diligently seeking and practicing truth. It requires hard work on our part and not seeking to have Him control us. He will guide us and He will work in us as we work with Him.

Are you committed to following God's guidance?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
