Dear Brothers and Sisters in
IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 7th day of the 12th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi. The Spring Holy Day season begins the New Year in about two months with Passover on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Tuesday, April 15th on the 2014, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Monday, April 14th). The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is the same in the spring this year.
A newsletter reader responded to the last newsletter. Hello Frank, I think that this topic is a very hot topic......... have you heard or read the quote in which Walter Vieth was asked what he thought about drums in the Church, his reply was thus............not much to say but that Ellen White said that when drums were found in the Church it would it would be very close to Christ's return? If you know of where this is found let me know or perhaps you could show other quotes in Drums II? Thanks, Yours in Yahshua, x.
I responded: x, I had hoped that my previous newsletter would be clear enough. There are others who have expressed confusion so I will restate what I said with a little more focus. There is only ONE quote mentioning drums. It is repeated seven times in various publications with surprising differences in wording. This is also the only quote using the words "just before the close of probation". Remember, all these quotes are from a letter never published except in compilations made years after Ellen's death. The previous newsletter gives the most complete quote, if you look a little closer. "...just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with music and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit." {21MR 128.5} Notice that the most complete quote does not even mention drums. All other references which mention drums come from excerpts of this quote. I am at a loss to explain how the word drums got into the other quotes. I believe it is a mistake to broadly criticize the use of drums. Ellen said "Satan works amid the din and confusion of such music, which, properly conducted, would be a praise and glory to God. He makes its effect like the poison sting of the serpent." {21MR 130.3} Notice she says that properly conducted, this music "would be a praise and glory to God". The focus on drums is a distraction from 21st century present truth, the Third Elijah Message, and the Fourth Angel's Message. Walter Veith practices Sensationalism (2013-08-09 newsletter) to attract attention to his work and stokes the fires of Apocalyptic Fever (2011-12-16 newsletter) as do many others. I do not approve or agree with this approach. It is sad for those that are still in Laodecian condition and need to wake up to the warning of Rev. 3 and the urgency of the times. Here is some quotations from the inspired writings about "just before the close of probation" http://www.diggingfortruth.org/article/3077/ talking about dancing and drums in the church. This is happening now, but most people do not believe we are near the close of probation. What I think is that National Sunday Laws which leads into the 'Mark-of-the-beast' has been held back by God's power because His people are not ready for the latter rain. If the latter rain fell it would consume many of them because of their sins.But the drums, dancing etc has not be held back as much and has already manifested. It is certainly true that drums can be misused. However, I believe worrying about drums is a misplaced focus. I am reminded of this verse. Matthew 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. The issue of drums is a gnat. The issue of nailing the Law of Moses to the cross is a camel. Note that the camel is an unclean animal. I love the wording in this translation of the Bible. Malachi 4:4 "Remember and obey the law of my servant Moses. I gave those laws and rules to him at Mount Horeb. They are for all the people of Israel." (Easy-to-Read Version) Moses said: Deuteronomy 4:5-6 "I taught you the laws and rules that the LORD my God commanded me. I did this so you could obey them in the land you are ready to enter and take for your own. Obey these laws carefully. This will show the people of the other nations that you are wise and sensible. They will hear about these laws and say, 'Truly, the people of this great nation are wise and sensible.'" (Easy-to-Read Version) We are getting ready to enter the land of heaven for our own.
