Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 23rd day of the 2nd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6018 Anno Mundi.

Pentecost is in 1 week and 5 days on the evening of the 6th day of the 3rd month (Wednesday, June 4th on the 2014, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Tuesday, June 3rd).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research and others have identified for determining the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is the same in the spring this year but one day early in the fall.

Circumcision: Gospel or Barbaric Ritual?

Sunday’s section of this week’s Sabbath School lesson, mentions circumcision, which seems like a very barbaric ritual to many. I have even read scoffers using texts about the subject as a means to ...

Well, Brothers and Sisters, this has been a debated item for centuries, but there are a couple "ground rules" to consider laying down to begin with:

1. If you are a Christian, then you MUST accept that at least at one time in human history God DEMANDED it.

2. Later, in New Testament times, it WAS NOT demanded by God.

3. You MUST consider what SCIENCE says about it, when making a decision for modern times = it is more sanitary, women get less infections from their mate, both have lower cancer rates = it MUST have some GOOD support for those who want to continue.

4. SO, it is NOT necessary for Salvation, but it IS necessary for disease prevention and best sanitary practices, especially as a "courtesy" to wives!

God Bless you all as you make your OWN decision concerning this practice.

What in the world??? This is such an inane question. If you are a Bible believing, Old Testament believing Christian, the question has no basis for consideration. It is like asking was Abraham, Issac and Jacob and all their descendants both Hebrew and Muslim barbaric??? If you are an unbeliever then all requirements vanish. Stop making rules for other people. I think the Early church took a position not to require circumcision but it was more about adult males rather than eight day old infants. The story of Simeon and Levi are a stark lesson in barbarism, but that is not really the issue here. I would suggest that it is barbaric to have little babies with body piercing, for any purpose but I see toddlers with ear studs, obviously a choice made by the parents. But this is totally different in that God called it His identification of His people. Got a problem with it? take it to God, don't put your pseudo compassionate view on me!

Circumcision is a matter of personal choice, I'm glad the doctor did it without asking my parents, I'd hate to have had it done older, which I would have as a matter of personal choice, based on health reasons and aesthetics.

Yes, Pastor Randy, you DID make me smile! I have to agree with you, BUT there might STILL be some "new" Christians who would ask about such a thing.

It NO LONGER has ANYTHING to do with our salvation, but is PURELY a personal choice. There WILL NOT be an "inspection" at the Gate of the New Jerusalem, nor will there be any place to obtain such a procedure in the New Earth. I believe that if God wants that procedure done on EVERY male, then HE will "make it so!" SO, rest easy, new converts and do some scientific research and make your OWN decision, knowing that God is NOT requiring it any longer!

You made me smile, "inspection indeed" :)

I for one am not expecting an inspection either.....

The only "inspection" is for the "circumcision of the heart of stone" to become a "heart of flesh" I believe and that is recorded on the Books of Heaven, if I am not mistaken.

Ask any family doctor what wealth of dirt and plants (bacteria) accompanied by odors they find behind foreskins; Not to mention the scientifically proven lower health risks.

Ask women, who on average have more developed smell sensibility then men, to tell you what they smell at intercourse, having them to make a conscience decision to actively not wanting to smell what they sense (how can one enjoy sex that way!);

The Lord gave me two daughters but I knew what I would have done if He would have given me any son - the eight day is scientifically proven to be the best time to get it over with!

The Early Church declared it not to be a sign of the people of God, but the did not forbade it, as God did not forbade Noah and his descendents after the flood to be vegans - they COULD eat meat, not HAD to.

Luckily my husbands mother had all her three boys circumcised when they were toddlers. Doing them and her future daughters in law a great service.

NO, circumcision will not make you a better Christian; earn you salvation or give you an extra stamp in heaven’s passport, but as we reasonably take advantage of our knowledge about health issues, knowing that an eighth days old blood clump almost instantly and that they hardly feel a thing, and that there are no future side effects (on the contrary to girls circumcision), on the requisite that the procedure is done by a professional, no one should have a problem with circumcision.

Michael Welch

Yes, dear sister Ingrid, you are correct and you didn't even mention the fact that the wives of the uncircumcised get MORE female infections, because of the lack of cleanliness of their husbands. My mother could attest to that. God doesn't demand an obedience to ANYTHING without an accompanying blessing that is based in solid science in some area of survival - mental, physical or spiritual. God is Good!

Randy is on the right track. He usually is... There is a major BIBLICAL difference between infant circumcision required of believing parents for their eight-day old male children and adult circumcision. God proclaims circumcision of the male offspring as a private sign of our commitment. (See Leviticus 12:3) I can "hear" some shocked thoughts... That is so Old Testament! That is the Law of Moses, which was nailed to the cross! Either you do what God says or you don't.

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments.

There is a statute, which was specific to the eating of the Passover lamb. (See Exodus 12:43-49.) Adults were required to be circumcised before they could eat of the sacrificial lamb. It is important to note, since the Passover lamb is no longer sacrificed, the statute of adult circumcision no longer applies. (See Acts 15.)

God's command cannot be considered a "Barbaric Ritual". I shudder at the use of the term but I recognize its provocative purpose to stimulate discussion.

There are many methods used for a provocative purpose such as sarcasm and criticism. These must be used carefully. A general use of sarcasm and criticism is not appropriate.

Are you careful to make proper use of a provocative purpose?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
