Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 10th day of the 6th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6018 Anno Mundi.

The Fall Sabbaths begin in 3 weeks with Trumpets on the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Friday, September 26th on the 2014, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Thursday, September 25th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research and others have identified for determining the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is one day early in the fall.

I received a question from a newsletter reader.

Hi Frank,

I have a question for you. I was talking with a friend about the feast days, she is a keeper and I am too, as you know.

The other day, I was remembering that EGW said we are in the Day of Atonement and have been since 1844, which means we are in the time of judgment, so how can we go ahead and keep the Feast of Tabernacles (or any of them) since it is a feast of celebration (I'm using my own words here), but you know, it is a time of thankfulness for the harvest, etc., a time of joy. How would you answer a question like that?

Very curious!

Blessings to you,

Sharon

I responded:

Sharon,

So much confusion... :-)

The simplest and most important thing to remember is that God has specified that we are to keep His Holy Days (Leviticus 23). Nothing changes this command of God. God does not change. I have presented Biblical evidence that these Holy Days were defined in heaven before creation and the Bible is clear our Savior kept them, His disciples kept them, and the apostle Paul kept them long after the cross and they will be kept in eternity. History is also clear that faithful Christian believers have always kept them even through the great apostasy. Only those who don't want to do what God commands would suggest any excuse why we don't continue to keep them and turn a blind eye to all the evidence. I know you are convinced of the importance of keeping all that God commands so I know that this is not actually your question but is based on the excuses you hear from others. Don't let the excuses of other be used as a temptation of Satan to unsettle your heart.

It is important to note that though the Day of Atonement is a solemn time it is not a time of sadness or mourning. Yes, it is a time of deep soul searching. Sometimes this searching is carried out in earnest anguish of spirit. Do not be misled by Jewish tradition, which associates fasting and therefore mournfulness and such things to demonstrate their piety. Fasting is certainly useful to symbolize soul searching but it not what God has actually commanded. I have also spoken about this in previous newsletters.

Now, we also need to understand that there are numerous uses of the themes we find in the Holy Days. God has defined many patterns (themes) at many levels. These patterns repeat in many ways. We don't even begin to see all the patterns and how they interact. We see the patterns and symbolisms of seven. We see days substituted for years. We see how the seven days of creation represent seven thousand years before sin is destroyed. We see the seventh millennium as a "day" of rest in heaven. With some thought we could make a large list of these repeating patterns and not see even a part of what God has defined. This will be a part of the study of eternity. We see Tabernacles as a symbol (pattern) of our time in heaven and eternity. The Day of Atonement is a symbolism of God's judgment of sin. We are living in a symbolic Day of Atonement since 1844 when God began the judgment of the dead and will soon begin the short time for the judgment of the living represented as the final sealing. This pattern of the seven millenniums does not change the yearly pattern God has commanded as a practice and reminder of His Great Plan.

I hope this helps you to understand the fallacy of this excuse, which is only one of the many excuses used by those who are not willing to just do what God says. Those who do not want to hear the truth will not be willing to listen to your or my explanations and will simply raise more objections and excuses.

Trust in God and His Word!

Be at peace,

Frank T. Clark - When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come. John 16:13 (FTCABE)

What excuses do you hear (or have!) for failing to obey all that God commands?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
