Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 1st day of the 5th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6019 Anno Mundi.

The Fall Sabbaths begin in 8 weeks and 3 days with Trumpets Sabbath on the 1st day of the 7th month (Tuesday, September 15th of the 2015, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Monday, September 14th).

On God's Calendar the Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is one day early.

I have been asked to make a series of presentations at a small Seventh-day Adventist Tabernacles week (September 29 through October 6 on the 2015 Gregorian Calendar, September 28 through October 5 by the Calculated Rabbinical Calendar) home camp meeting in the Chicago area. You may recall that I made some presentations there in 2012 as mentioned in my newsletter 2012-08-03. If you are interested:

I am told that while the hosts are Seventh-day Adventists most attendees will be non-SDA feast keepers. I will only be able to attend and make presentations on the weekend because I can't take the whole week and more off from work. I will already be taking off the four fall holy days, which occur on Tuesdays and Thursday this year as I took off to observe Pentecost in spring on a Monday.

I have discussed topics with the hosts and have chosen the topic of God's Sacred Calendar. There is a lot of controversy about almost every aspect of the Calendar. I have sought a deeper understanding and encountered many of these controversies. I have studied deeply to resolve the controversies and confusion to my satisfaction. I am in a unique position of having no particular traditional background other than the weekly Sabbath to lead me to favor one viewpoint over the other. I go strictly by the Bible. When the Bible is not specific, I examine the evidence from the witness of Bible observing traditions and compare it with the Bible.

I will begin the presentations by discussing tools and principles for understanding and resolving any Biblical controversy and confusion with Biblical texts.

I recently heard a presenter say that there is no such thing as a "Problem Text". Either he is ignorant, he was being provocative, or something else. I have noticed that the Laodicean believes they have all the Biblical answers correctly understood. Our Savior makes this statement:

Revelation 3:15-17 (FTCABE)
15 I know your works. You are not cold or hot. I wish you were cold or hot.
16 So, because you are lukewarm, not cold or hot, I will spit you out of my mouth.
17 You say, 'I am rich, filled with treasures, and I have no need for any more.' You do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.

When you are cold (lacking in truth and faith), you know you want to be warm. When you are warm, you fall in love with our Savior, who died to save us from sin and death. When you are in love, you become on fire with a desire to know more about Him and His Word of guidance. Our infinite God has great depths of truth in His Word that we only partially understand. We can readily learn enough for our salvation but we must continue to grow in knowledge and understanding.

II Timothy 2:15 (FTCABE) Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly understanding the word of truth.

One of the biggest problem texts that create confusion for Adventists:

Colossians 2:14 (KJV) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

A shallow reading, following Catholic tradition, causes a mistaken understanding of this text. This leads the SDA to reject the Law of Moses even while God Himself makes the clear statement in an End of Time context:

Malachi 4:4 (FTCABE) Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, statutes and judgments.

Once you pass this obstruction to understanding you face a large amount of confusion in understanding how to follow the Law written down by Moses of what God commands. I have spent over ten years diligently seeking resolutions to the confusions. I was surprised by the ease of some answers and frustrated by the difficulty of others. The details of determining the dates of God's Sacred Calendar has been one of my big challenges.

After resolving some tough issues, I can well understand how easy it is to be confused. I am confident of what I understand but knowing how hard it is to put the pieces together, I humbly admit that I could be wrong on some point. The Bible encourages us in the struggle and the Holy Spirit is our guide as promised.

John 16:13 (FTCABE) When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come.

It is most encouraging to read that even the greatest teachers were sometimes confusing and recognized the struggle of truth.

II Peter 3:15-18 (KJV)
15 And account [that] the longsuffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Are you growing in grace and knowledge?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
