Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 2nd day of the 1st month of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6019 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Sabbaths begin in one week and six days with the first yearly Sabbath of Unleavened Bread, God's New Year's Day, on the 15th day of the 1st month (Thursday, March 24th of the 2016, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Wednesday, March 23rd).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction and the Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month later next year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is also a month later.

Hello Frank. This is Donna. I have contacted you before. I have been a Sabbath keeper since around 2001 and am now very serious about keep the yearly Sabbaths. I am enjoying reading your books. My husband has been a 7th Day Adventist for 15 years and believes the fiests have been fulfilled. What would you say to him? Also, my question is...I work in the schools with one deaf child (at a time) and help them learn. My choices are to either take off without pay or work and donate the money to a ministry helping orphan children. Is this an option? As I was praying, this option came to mind. To me this is not work 'per say'.

I responded:

Hello Donna, It is a pleasure to hear from a believer in all the Bible says. Concerning what your husband believes, ask him to show you where it says the feasts have been fulfilled in the Bible. Paul specifically kept the feasts several It is difficult to overcome traditions. Do you understand that the Catholic church did away with the yearly Sabbaths the same as the weekly Sabbath. They are even proud to admit this. http://www.iaua.name/Letter.html Concerning your Sabbath dilemma. Consider Mark 3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. God commands our best attempt to observe holy convocation on all His Sabbaths. When work is needed to do good, donating the money makes you a volunteer doesn't it. God will respect our best efforts to observe His commands as best as we understand them.

There were many other things I could have said but I thought it was important to leave this to her decision guided by her conscience, which is guided by Gods Word and the Holy Spirit. A person should never look to someone else for an answer to a decision of conscience. A person should also never consider making a decision of conscience for someone else. We must all look to God and pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 17:5-10
5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

In this passage God warns us that we should look to Him and His word rather than trust in what any man says. KJV is always a little difficult to read. This passage is particularly awkward. I use KJV because it is public domain and familiar to most religious traditions.

However, let me be clear that it is necessary, reasonable, and valid to discuss issues with other people and seek guidance. Ideally, this guidance needs to be based on a deep understanding of the Bible, from a life lived according to the Bible, and whenever possible point directly back to a related Bible text.

This is one of the issues behind God's requirement for a holy convocation. We must meet together to discuss and consider God's Word. Even when there are no believers to meet with, it is important to spend a Sabbath day reading and contemplating God's Word. Only when our work is of a nature to help people and there is a critical need should we engage in our normal work.

I would personally consider it better to take time off rather than continue to do our daily work on a Sabbath day. While I was working, I would always take a vacation day on the yearly Sabbath.

Do you believe in the power of God to guide our conscience according to His will?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
