The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 2nd day of the 2nd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi.

Pentecost Sabbath is in 4 weeks and 5 days starting the evening of the 6th day of the 3rd month (Wednesday, June 8th on the 2011 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Tuesday, June 7th).

An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with what my research, and many others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar!

My religious observance of the Feast of Unleavened Bread in Terra Bella, California went well. I have not felt inspired to take the time to write anything in the newsletter for the last two weeks. Last week however, I received an interesting email. I believe it will be valuable for you to consider my response.

I praise the Almighty for guiding me into your website today. I am in search of answers to questions on sabbath keeping. I have visited other sites which made me more confused.

I have started to read your articles and find encouragement in them. I am a Seventh-day Adventist but nobody in the church can enlighten me about true sabbath keeping.

For a start I wish to ask you on what day are we supposed to keep the sabbath in reference to the Gregorian calendar. It's April 29, 2011, Friday 2;15 p.m. now here in the Philippines. When is the biblical sabbath supposed to be observed.

My sincere gratitude for your kindness.

I responded:

There is no mystery about true Sabbath-keeping though there are a lot of myths, errors, and delusions. The Bible is crystal clear for those who are enlightened by the Holy Spirit and not deluded by another spirit. Genesis records clearly the guidance of God which says a Biblical, sacred, local day begins at sundown.

Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

We are also told there are six days before the seventh day Sabbath.

Genesis 2:1-3
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

God has preserved this count of seven days for six thousand years by His power and His mercy. The faithful witness of both Judaism and Catholicism has preserved this count on their calendars. There are other errors and apostasies in both calendars but this count is faithfully preserved. It is amazing how the power of God has caused these two religions, which disagree on every other aspect of the calendar, to agree on this one truth.

The next step is a little science to understand Golgotha (Jerusalem) is the center reference point for the world day which begins about 12 hours in advance with sunrise at Golgotha which is sundown on the exact opposite of the world. As sundown circles the globe the local day begins further west until about 12 hours after the local day begins at Golgotha. The entire world is experiencing one part of the same day at the instant before the next new day begins its travel around the world.

The next concern for those desiring to follow God's Law is to ask how is the Sabbath observed. All God's Sabbaths, weekly and yearly, are observed the same simple way. The Ten Commandments are clear that we cease work on the weekly Sabbath. We must go to the Law of Moses to also be clear of the truth about the second part of Sabbath observance.

The observance of the weekly and yearly Sabbaths is described most completely in Leviticus 23. The weekly Sabbath is described first, then the yearly Sabbaths. The observance of the yearly Sabbaths is described by the same words as the weekly Sabbath. All Sabbath observance is identified by two signs using the identical words indicating holy convocation and no work.

All Sabbaths are observed as a day of rest from work.

Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

The concept of no work on the weekly Sabbath is clearly indicated in the fourth commandment.

Exodus 20:8-10
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

You must go to the statutes in the Law of Moses to find a holy convocation is also a required observance.

Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

I believe it is clear God commands the gathering of His people in fellowship. The exact description of all activities performed in these fellowship/worship meetings is not specified. The requirement to participate in these meetings is clear. Paul makes clear reference to this need.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Jewish tradition and Adventists tradition add many rules about what else you should do on the Sabbath but I believe we should primarily stick to just what the Bible says. Keep the day holy, sanctified, and set apart but not burdened with man-made rules and regulations.

There are many errors and delusions in the understanding of God's Calendar. The newest delusion is the idea the weekly Sabbath is based on a lunar cycle instead of the simple seven day count specified by God. I have discussed this issue on several occasions in my weekly newsletter. The latest discussion can be found at:

I look forward to continued correspondence.

I am suspicious this person is attempting to draw me into a discussion of the Lunar Sabbath.

Are you following God's plan for Sabbath observance?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of Iaushua (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
