Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 7th day of the 10th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6016 Anno Mundi.

The first yearly Sabbath of Unleavened Bread begins the Sacred New Year and the Spring Holy Day season in 13 weeks and 5 days on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Wednesday, March 27th on the 2013, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Tuesday, March 26th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) will be observing the Spring Holy Days a month later and the Jewish Calculated Rabbinical Calendar begins a day early in spring.

There was another interesting discussion on LinkedIN. "Church Views on homosexuals adjusted by the world church at Annual Council".

This extends the discussions in previous newsletters:

2012-09-07 Love Sinners, Hate Sin?

2012-09-21 Homosexuality Is Sin

My comment:

This is tough discussion topic to handle appropriately. I have been pondering this subject for quite a while. Directly addressing the question "What do you think is the significance of this?".

Primarily, I think it is an example of the continuing decline of morals we would expect as we approach the end of time. This will create increasing difficulties in this world for those who choose to follow God's Word. We must continue to emphasize and follow truth as we continue to emphasize and exercise compassion for the human struggle with sin.

I examined with reasonable care the denomination's statements on the subject and I do not detect any softening of our Biblical stance. I think it is appropriate to emphasize compassion for those struggling with sin as we encourage them to move toward a sinless life by the grace of God.

We must practice the full acceptance of a struggling sinner who rejects the actions of sin whether it is the alcoholic, the adulterer, the homosexual, or whatever. They must not be expected to pretend the struggle does not exist. When a sinner falls in a way for their actions to seriously mar the Biblical example or denies the Biblical standard, we must deny them membership in the denomination until they demonstrate a commitment to the Biblical standard and restrict them from leadership until they demonstrate the Biblical example.

It is much easier to describe a general course of action than it is to implement the details. God will help us and I also pray He will soon deliver us.

Compassion is an important attribute following the example of our Saviour.

35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Matthew 9:35-36
Obedience is another important example.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Malachi 4:4
It is very easy to deviate from truth in the name of compassion and it is just as easy to lose compassion while taking a harsh stand for truth. It is a narrow path between the ditches of these two extremes.

Speaking of leadership, I have often seen how eager but inexperienced individuals have been given the pulpit to speak. I have seen even non-baptized individuals given the pulpit to speak. This is not right. I have seen these people later apostatize from truth. What kind of an example does this give? Paul made a comment on this describing one who is chosen to lead the church.

6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
I Timothy 3:6
The expectation of carefully training, testing, and approving those who desire to serve God in positions of leadership is also mentioned.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
I Timothy 3:10

Will you show compassion while standing for truth?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
